I know you've heard this MANY times before (Including from me) but you deserve to hear it again, Hooklight was SO BRILLIANT! Interesting to hear that there were going to be Vampires featured at some point in the story's development. Which actually reminds me, both of your upcoming stories for the Thirteenth and Fugitive Doctors feature a vampire (possibly a GREAT vampire?) as it's antagonist. Is it possible, or even probable, that these stories are connected in some way? Either way, it's clear you have a "taste" for that particular monster, as do I to be honest! As always, looking forward to your future stories. :)
No, no connection sorry! They were written a couple of years apart, I’d no idea they’d be out so close together…
The stories are tonally different too - but then, vampires are deliciously versatile beasts! I was sorry they couldn’t make it into Hooklight, but at the time there were rumours of Goth Opera being in development and we didn’t want to clash with another Fifth Doctor story :)
